Porometer at FILTECH 2024: Driving innovation in filtration technology
Porometer was delighted to participate in FILTECH 2024, the world’s premier event for filtration and separation technology, held from November 12–14. This event provided an excellent platform to engage with industry professionals, showcase our latest innovations, and connect with both long-standing and potential new customers.
Showcasing our latest instruments
At FILTECH, we featured our industry-leading porometer models, including the POROLUX™ Cito and POROLUX™ Revo X. These instruments are essential tools for accurate pore size measurement of filtration media, making them vital for quality assurance and research in filtration technology.
Our team of experts, Marina Ängeslevä and Eline Pattyn, were on-site to demonstrate the unique capabilities of these devices, offering attendees a firsthand look at how they can optimize filtration testing processes.
Whether you attended the show or couldn’t make it, we’ve captured the highlights of FILTECH 2024 in the aftermovie below.
Introducing MemSystems
We were excited to unveil our new brand, MemSystems, created specifically to meet the needs of membrane laboratories. Whether working with flat sheets or hollow fibers, MemSystems offers tailored solutions to advance your research and development efforts.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore two of our innovative systems:
MemCast™ – A precise and reliable flat-sheet membrane casting system.
RotaMem – A robust solution for producing hollow fiber membranes.
These systems are designed to deliver the precision and reliability needed for membrane research, with more innovative products on the horizon.
Insights from our poster presentation
Our latest research was featured in a poster presentation titled: “Correlations between the pore size and filtration efficiency of nonwoven filter media”
The paper provided a detailed explanation of the methodologies employed, emphasizing advanced tools and techniques for accurate pore size and filtration efficiency assessments across various porous filter media, such as:
Pore size and air permeability were measured using the Porometer instruments and the Thermo Scientific Phenom XL.
Filtration efficiency, including penetration and resistance, evaluated with the Air Techniques International 100X Automated Filter Tester.
Correlations between these properties to identify ways to enhance the performance of nonwoven filter media.
